Party of 6 please!!: Football Season Has Arrived!!

This weekend officially got the boys pumped up for football! Our weekend started off with Shawn, Austin, Papa, Uncle Craig, Cousin Colin and some of Shawn's friends going to the K-State football practice that was held here in Olathe. They were so excited!! Austin hasn't stopped talking about Josh Freeman since they left the practice. They even got to get lots of autographs - my personal fave being Jordy Nelson whom I use to teach when I was teaching in Riley. Pretty cool!! Austin is definitely ready for some KSU football to get going - he's been asking to watch football since the season ended last year.

Austin decided to sing the K-State fight song to some of the players here - they all laughed and thought he was pretty cool. We have also started "project room rearrange". We are moving the girls in together up in the dormer and then Austin will take Ashlyn's room and the office will be Austin's old room. So, we started with painting the dormer so we can move the girls up together. I ended up painting the same colors as what Ashlyn had since we still had paint left from it. I wanted to do something different but decided there was really no reason not to use the paint we already had, and I knew the pink and purple looked good so we went with it. We still have to put up the chair rail and clean the carpet, but then we should be ready to move them in! I may have to do one more coat of paint - we'll see. Then we can get Austin's new room painted and move him in, then paint the office and move that stuff in. Quite a process!!

Shawn got the first coat of varnish done on our new kitchen table - it is gorgeous!!! I can't wait to get it finished and moved up here. It is going to look awesome!!

Big week this week - our kick-offf party for SGC is this week. We hope to get lots of new members - keep your fingers crossed! I'm president again this year which I am excited about - I think it's going to be a great year - we have some fun stuff planned. Of course, my favorite activity would be the fire station visit coming up soon - love that one!!

Ashlyn got her first haircut - she's so stinking cute!! Almost two and never had a haircut - kinda sad, huh? Just cute as a button though!

We went to Salina for my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary - wow!! Isn't that amazing? I blogged about it a few weeks ago, but it still just amazes me - that's true love!! Notice my kids - they LOVE to dance!! They have already been practicing for my sisters wedding in January.

Speaking of the wedding....Kimberly's dress came in!! We went and picked it up this weekend! Take a look below....ha! Tricked you - did you really think i would put a pic of it on here??? Nope! that's my sister and mom and I toasting to getting the dress here and it FITS!! YIPEE!!

Heath and Jay came over last weekend for dinner - we had a great time. Their little Peyton is almost 7 weeks old in this pic and Gabriella is almost 6 months - hmmmm Gabriella has some growing to do i think!! Notice Peyton is already checking her out - must be into older women.
