12 weeks and counting

Yes, we are already 12 weeks along with BabyT4. Crazy how time flies! I remember when it was my first and I was addicted to reading every baby book I could find, I always knew exactly how big the baby was in my belly (which was always humorous because according to the books they always compared the baby to the size of some fruit or vegetable I had never heard of). And with BabyT4, well, I'm just plain tired. Still nauseous at night, but more tired than anything. I'm very ready for trimester #2 - I'm sure I'll just have LOADS of energy at that point - ha ha.

We are planning the very first of many family camping trips - July 4th weekend - we are hoping to make it a family tradition - we'll see how it goes with the kids. Most people think we are crazy, but we can't wait. We have the biggest tent sold - three bedrooms - wow. We have a fantastic stove for Shawn to cook us all breakfast on, we have already practiced making smores in the backyard. And the kids can't wait to cook a hot dog on a stick. Oh, and we will definitely be doing some fishing. The kids have their very own poles and have been practicing casting their lines in the driveway - yes, we get some strange looks. Our first adventure will be at Melvern lake with both my parents and Shawn's parents (we thought we better bring backup). So, I'm sure we'll have some good pics and interesting stories to tell!
It is now time for me to have a mint chocolate chip ice cream shake - mmmmm -

Hope you are having the time of your life!

Happy Anniversary, Stephanie & Shawn! We love seeing your joy parenting and growing as a family - brings back so many memories. By #4 we were excited but tired ... Adele now understands why I can fall asleep in 2 minutes:-). Our first camping experience was with 5 children (Kipp was just 2) on the 4th of July! The kids wanted to go to bed at 5 as soon as we set up the temt (and sleep in the sleeping bags). Finally, I gave in and we tucked them all in. At 8 no one was sleeping so we headed into Bend (closest town) and found the fireworks. Kipp stood the whole time and entertained everyone clapping with glee for the fireworks.
We didn't get courage to camp again until the next summer (it had been on volcanic rock = pumice ... so did not shake or wash out of the tents). Camp was set up, dinner over, kids in sleeping bags and Kipp asked, "Where are the fireworks?" He thought they went with camping!
