Here is what I said...."Gabriella, go wash your hands, please."
And this is what I saw....
Next time I ask her to wash her hands I will simply say -"Gabriella , go wash your hands, please. And don't stop up the water, and don't use half a container of soap, and don't let water run over the side, and don't let bubbles fall all over the counter and floor, and don't soak your shirt and pants, and don't waste so much water, and don't think that one towel will clean it all up." Yes, my problem was that I just didn't clarify what I meant by "wash your hands". I can totally see how she got confused. Totally.

Do you remember the Mercer Mayer books when you were a kid? One of them was "I tried to be good in the bath but there was a thunderstorm...."bubble everywhere, thats what this reminded me of.
