elephants and dinosaurs

For the past month or so we have been teaching Austin to say his prayers before he goes to bed. This basically consists of Austin listing all the people he wants to thank Jesus for. It very well could be considered my most favorite time with him. It always amazes me to hear who/what he wants to pray for. Last night in particular was a good prayer. I always start out saying I want to pray for Austin and then he chimes in with his, usually quite lengthy, list. Last night's list was quite short though. Here's how it went..."I want to thank Jesus for EmmaBella, James, elephants and dinosaurs." As I tried to keep from laughing, I said, "Is that all tonight? Are you sure there is no one else you want to pray for?" It took some prodding, but eventually he did say he wanted to pray for daddy. He seemed much more concerned with the elephants and dinosaurs though. I can't imagine a better way to end my day than by praying with Austin and blessing all the elephants and dinosaurs in the world. I just love being a mom!
