I am now asking myself the question...why did we ever take Austin's crib away? Is it really necessary for him to sleep in a normal bed? Let me tell you what the old Austin was like - you put him in his crib and he slept until the next day - no tears whatsoever. What's the new Austin like you ask? Well, last night we were up for almost 2 hours with him screaming, running around his room, kicking the walls - and of course, waking up his sister. Night time is not going so well over here. Austin has decided his afternoon nap is some kind of sick joke. So, we don't nap at all anymore - we are attempting "quiet time" though. He has to stay in his room for at least an hour. If he happens to fall asleep during that time it would be great - mostly because the chances of that are the same as me winning power ball. He hasn't quite grasped "quiet time" yet. I suppose this wouldn't bother me so much if I didn't have a newborn coming in 28 days. The baby is suppose to share a room with Austin, but that's not looking so good at this point. Not only is he having trouble sleeping through the night, we have also recently discovered that he can climb up into Ashlyn's bed....hmmmmm...might not be a good idea to put the baby in his room yet....And I know nothing is actually wrong because last night he would scream, but the second we would go in he would stop and say something like, "I have boogers daddy!" Pretty sure he's not having nightmares, huh?
I refuse to put the baby in our room - so it's looking more and more like the baby is going to get the hallway for awhile until we see how things go. So, if you are planning on making a baby blanket or getting us a little gift for the baby, make sure it is in the beige tones - as that is the paint color in our hallway.
Maybe it's a good thing that it is snowing today - it looks so nice and peaceful outside - I hope it helps my mood today a bit. That is yet to be seen! Although my kids were over at my friend Kim's house all morning to play - so there was actually peace and quiet in the Turner house for 2 hours - it was so nice - Love you Kim!!
Well, that's about all the news I know as of now - if you have any ideas on what to do with our crazy son please feel free to let me know!
Hope you are having the time of your life!
